Bushken Pre-Primary School together with Woodlands Cottages and Backpackers are celebrating spring by organising a spring fair on Sunday 19 September
The fair is taking place from 8am to 2pm at Woodlands, on the Kenton-Grahamstown Road, and promises to be a fun day out for the whole family.
Delicious breakfast, lunch and other snacks will be on offer and a range of kids’ activities will be provided, including an obstacle course, face painting, dressing up and a jumping castle.
Furthermore, stallholders of Woodlands weekly market will feature and display a large selection of locally produced foods and crafts.
“By organising a weekly craft and produce market we support local producers and artisans. We are very excited to combine this market with a spring fair to support Bushken Pre-primary ,” Woodlands owner Allen Cunninham said.
Proceeds from the fair will go to Bushken to finance the school’s building expansion plans. “We would like the make the spring fair into an annual fundraiser for the school and it enables us to raise funds for the school while providing a fun activity to our local community,” Shirley Vorster, principal of Bushken, said.
Bushken is collecting good quality second hand items (books, clothes and children’s toys) for a second-hand store at the fair. Any donations for this stall are welcome and can be dropped off at the school.
